YOUNG IS KNOWN FOR HER WORK AS CINEMATOGRAPHER ON THE AWARD WINNING SHORT FILM SON OF OAKLAND & ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR THE BLACK JOY STORY WINDOWS DOCUMENTARY PRODUCED BY OAKLAND CENTRAL.
SHE IS ALSO RECOGNIZED AS CONTRIBUTING EDITOR ON THE AWARD WINNING DOCUMENTARY ASCENDANCE, AND HAS CAPTURED ARTISTS LIKE COMMON, GOAPELE, AND ASHANTI AS A CAMERA OPERATOR AT MUSIC FESTIVALS.

Every year for BlkReels birthday we host a themed photo walk where models and content creators unite! We select stellar locations, great themes, and have photo challenges that will allow for creativity to flow. Our first year’s theme was high fashion at the Pulgas Water Temple, and year two’s theme was Western at Keller Beach in Richmond.
